In 2016, Alliance and their JV partner, US fund manager ARES, acquired Piccadilly Place, a prominent office development in Manchester city centre. Eager to breathe new life into this prime location, Alliance's asset management team wasted no time in getting to work.
Within a mere six months, the team made remarkable progress, undertaking an extensive refurbishment of the office space and upgrading the ground floor reception areas. Additionally, they made significant investments in the outdoor space, unveiling an engaging art display featuring five oversized lamps that pay homage to Manchester's rich history of innovation across different eras and centuries.
This vibrant burst of colour and the re-imagination of the piazza, which had long been neglected, brought about a refreshing transformation in how the space was utilised and enjoyed.
Piccadilly Place quickly became a thriving commercial hub, attracting new tenants and fostering a lively atmosphere. With the addition of notable establishments like Starbucks, Pitta Pit, Anytime Fitness, and Junkyard Golf, the commercial destination experienced a revitalisation that breathed new life into the area.
